Jamie Jordan Law ("Firm," "we," "us," or "our") provides family law representation to clients in Fort Bend County and Brazoria County, Texas, including divorce, child custody, property division, child support, order modifications, paternity, domestic violence, grandparent rights, spousal support, and adoption matters. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website (the "Site") or otherwise interact with us online.

This Privacy Policy applies to our Site and related online services. It does not apply to information we collect from clients in the course of legal representation, which is governed separately by our engagement agreement, applicable rules of professional conduct, and attorney-client privilege.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us. When you use our contact form, request a consultation ("Schedule a Consultation" / "Talk to a Family Law Attorney"), call our office, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect information such as your name, phone number, email address, and any details you choose to share about your legal matter.

Payment information. If you become a client and make payments to the Firm, those payments are processed through LawPay, a third-party payment platform for law firm trust and operating accounts. We do not store your full payment card or bank account details on our own servers; LawPay processes and secures that information under its own privacy and security practices.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, and the dates/times of your visit. We collect this information through cookies and similar tracking technologies, including:

  • Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use the Site (e.g., which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and how they arrived at the Site); and
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel, which helps us understand engagement with our Site and, where applicable, measure and improve the performance of our social media advertising.

Social media. We maintain profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. If you interact with us through these platforms, information you share is subject to that platform's own privacy policy, in addition to this one.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to inquiries and consultation requests, and communicate with prospective and existing clients;
  • Schedule and manage consultations and appointments;
  • Process payments through LawPay for clients we represent;
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site;
    Analyze Site traffic and user behavior through Google Analytics;
  • Measure and improve the effectiveness of our advertising through Meta Pixel, and, where you have consented, show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and professional obligations; and
  • Protect the security and integrity of our Site and business.

Submitting information through our contact form or by phone does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. Please avoid sending confidential or sensitive details about your legal matter until an attorney-client relationship has been formally established.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Our Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and web beacons) to recognize your browser, remember preferences, and collect analytics data as described above.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them; however, doing so may affect how the Site functions. You may also:

  • Opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on; and
  • Adjust your ad preferences for Meta Pixel–based advertising through your Facebook Ad Preferences or Instagram settings.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who perform functions on our behalf, such as LawPay (payment processing), our website hosting provider, and analytics/advertising providers (Google, Meta), each of which processes data under its own privacy policy;
  • Legal and regulatory authorities, when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Firm, our clients, or others; and
  • Successors, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of firm assets, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.

5. Data Retention

We retain information collected through the Site for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, provide legal services, comply with our professional and legal recordkeeping obligations under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct, and for other legitimate business purposes such as dispute resolution and enforcing our agreements.

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you (subject to our legal and professional recordkeeping obligations for client-related information). To make a request, contact us using the information in Section 10 below.
